Orbital UAV has extended its long term agreement (LTA) with Insitu for the delivery of multiple propulsion systems and services across Insitu’s range of UAS platforms, the company announced on 15 October.

The LTA increases the scope, scale and term of work outlined in the original LTA, signed in December 2016. The expanded agreement has a potential value of between AUD$120 million and AUD$350 million over a period of five years.

The agreement covers the assembly, supply and overhaul of three Orbital UAV modular propulsion systems, and the assembly, supply and overhaul of two Insitu designed engines for use in Insitu’s Integrator and ScanEagle UAS.

Delivery of the first units are due in the first quarter of 2019.
