Alpha Unmanned Systems will present its gasoline-powered VTOL UAS, the Alpha 800, at NATO’s Exercise Trident Juncture in Trondheim, Norway.
Trident Juncture 2018 is a live field exercise that will take place in all three domains – air, land and sea- in Norway from 25 October to 7 November. A total of 45,000 participants from 31 nations will be deployed for the event.
During the exercise, Alpha 800 will take part in the enhanced logistical base demonstration as part of work to showcase future military logistics capabilities.
The Alpha 800 is a tactical 14kg gasoline powered helicopter that provides 2.5 hours of continuous flight with a 3kg payload and 30km of operating range. It is equipped with a light and strong airframe and a military-grade autopilot with high precision GPS and sensors. The UAS can be used for surveillance and for the delivery of urgent supplies.
